Dear All,
I am hoping someone might have a suggestion for me:
I am attempting to ship about 80 12x12x18 boxes of sheet music from the Dallas area to Connecticut.
I have looked into aplane flight down, rent a truck and drive back. Drive down and back (that would be a long 6-7 days). Have someone move it for me. Ship via USPS.
I am just looking for some more options. If anyone has any experiences in shipping that would be wonderful!
Thanks,
Shipping 80 boxes of music from Dallas to CT?

I tried Pods and it came out to almost $4000, but will check into ABF.harold wrote:There are also several companies that now provide you with a shipping container which you fill up and they deliver - I know that ABF and Consolidated Freight are doing this.
Amtrack might be an option. I will check into it.
I have 2 LTL quotes. So far this by far the cheapest! Still a big cost, but the cheapest!
I guess I won't consider Consolidated Freight!
Thanks for all the info. I am open to anything at this point.

I agree about using a freight company. But, I have a question. Did you buy Cimarron's inventory?BVD Press wrote:I am attempting to ship about 80 12x12x18 boxes of sheet music from the Dallas area to Connecticut.

I am not sure I can give a 100% yes as of right now, but I (we) are in the final stages of negotiations.
There will be an annoucement shortly, but I did not want to say anything until everything was completed.
