iPhone 3G

Post by k001k47 »

So...
is anyone going to buy it?

If anoyone wants to buy one but has an older iPhone of their own, why not sell it to me for $200 so you can buy the 3G? :D

No thanks. I'll just stick with my RAZR.

My next phone. Covers the first two amendments quite nicely, don't you think?

If that's available in a 12 gauge double-barreled version, I want one!
Well, there is one available, but you have to take great care in answering it, otherwise it can be messy.

Picked mine up today. Very nice, as expected -- I've lived with my Blackberry Pearl long enough, and it's time to get something with a modern OS. My Safari bookmarks and contact list were synced through Mobile Me before I even left the store.

Now, from the app store...

OmniTuner or Orfeo? OmniTuner has pitch recognition, but no metronome, and it seems to have quite a guitar focus -- but I wonder if it works with wind instruments, too. However, I can't tell if it can change calibration away from A=440; that's important, because my group isn't always at 440.

Orfeo can play pitches from a wide range of calibrations and has a pretty full-featured metronome. However, it can't listen to a pitch. It would be good for tuning by ear, though.

Get one? Get both? Or wait for something like Orfeo but with the addition of pitch recognition?

I've previewed both of those apps and I think I will pass on the both and wait for something a bit better done.

If anyone out there is decent at programming, you might be able to make a few bucks on a nice tuner metronome combo for iPhone!

The 3G is a bit too small for me. I prefer the 1G, but one with a wider bore. Did you get your's uranium-plated? I hear all the pro's are doing it.

I second that.

Have any of you tried cube runner. It's free and really fun to play(very addicting though).

just got a new Centro thru Sprint. The Instinct isn't half of what the iPhone is, but I don't really need all that in a phone. The Centro is really more than enough for me, if not too much. But the ease of calendar use is a huge plus. And, a helluva lot cheaper than the new fancy-assed units.

I have the 1 1/4G in solid depleted curium. My only gripe with it was I couldn't have it in the house while my wife was pregnant or nursing.
