I enjoyed a wonderful 2-hour "turkey coma" nap after the feast.

To heck with turkey. The kids are out of town and Hariett and I have a yearn for a steak. Longhorn Steakhouse was closed yesterday on thanksgiving so today we go out and pound down some steaks. Yum yum! :D

Actually, when it's just our family for Thanksgiving, we rarely have turkey. In the past we've had ham, crown roast or (my personal favorite) steak and lobster. Turkey is a big pain in the butt- they're so damn huge, and leftovers are great and all, but after a while it gets a little tedious.

N.Y. Wal-Mart worker dies after a stampede

http://www.philly.com/inquirer/world_us/35249044.html

And, working at a Wal-Mart, I imagine he had neither health nor death benefits...

The pregnant woman, however, is fine
"A 28-year-old pregnant woman was taken to a hospital, where she and the baby were reported to be doing well, Police Sgt. Anthony Repalone said."

"When they were saying they had to leave, that an employee got killed, people were yelling, 'I've been on line since yesterday morning!' " she said. "They kept shopping."
Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?
