Hey! There was a time when the Blaikley automatic compensating system looked crazy/unique/weird to people.

And I would prefer the more neutral term, "Singular," as these instruments do what they were intended to do for the people who play them, or they wouldn't be here.

Here is another crazy/weird/unique tuba i found it on the internet one time and saved the picture...its obviously a photo shopped joke but its still neat...the asking price on the website that it was on was a whopping $52,000

Probably the strangest tuba/euphonium I have ever actually played:

It was found in a Canadian pawn shop by the fellow in the 3rd picture - it was made for the RCMP Band.
I played it and took the other pictures maybe 15 years ago. No idea where the horn is now...

looks like an "Antoniophone" styled instrument. Definitely unique!

Yes, I have seen single bell versions (in books and web collections) but never a double!

It was pretty stuffy playing on the small bell, OK on the big.
