Song about air travel
This song is kind of long, but I got a chuckle. There's a good chance anybody who's flown with big instruments knows the feeling. Stupid airlines.

Re: Song about air travel
When British Airways launched the Concorde they got the Fred Tomlinson Singers (of Monty Python/ The Goodies fame) to do a Gregorian Chant version of the aircraft safety warning speech - quite funny.
I have it on a cassette tape somewhere...

What did the guitar owner do to protect his guitar before flying?

Re: Song about air travel
Whether or not the guitarist "got what he deserved" in terms of protecting his instrument, it's nice that this issue is finally getting widespread (albeit modest and rather tongue-in-cheek) notice-- his video was written up in the Chicago Tribune, and United is feeling a lot more heat than they probably expected to as a result. Though this will probably fizzle out like most Internet fads, there's a chance the airlines will actually look closer at their baggage handling regulations (maybe write some?) and be more stringent in the future. Not that we should ever stop packing our instruments in kevlar and bulletproof cases, but if enough hell gets raised in the mass media over this poor sod's guitar, maybe someday it will be considered a superfluous precaution.
Call me naive, but I can hope, can't I?
