The brass-son and his friends.

Post by Brassdad »

Am attempting to link to a video I made yesterday of my son and his friends from school.
He formed a quartet to play christmas music in the malls and other places. THey are donating all the tips they make to the Salvation Army.
Sound quality of my camera is not the best, especially when you consider that they are in an open area of the mall.
According to him they were well received (as I have seen over the last 3 years the always are) and the folks my age and older really appreciated the "traditional" Christmas Carols.

Here is a Jazzy version of "Jolly Old Saint Nicholas"

Especially if you go play where there is a SA bucket/bell ringer. have them ring along with some stuff, etc.

Our tuba ensemble's first gig this year was at the SA bell ringer's kick-off.

I slot in a couple of hours for the SA every season. I think it is absolutely fantastic that the young folks are doing this on their own. It is not humanly possible to give as high a compliment as they deserve. Please give them my best regards.
