F bass trombone in Chicago?

Post by Bob Kolada »

Does anyone know of any F bass trombones in Chicago? I've always wanted to play one. I suppose I could buy the owner some sort of fancy drink for his time. :D

Something like this horn (was posted on here a few years back)-

Bob,

Don't know if you have any contacts at the Lyric Opera. When I went out on tour with Bocelli in 2004 I was expected to play an F Bass Trombone (in the place of a costly to rent Cimbasso) which they had rented from the Lyric Opera. Very nice Mirafone with 4 rotary valves. Came with an F/Eb Mirafone mp that worked like a charm. They have two of them there. There are some in the area. Not sure about the slide version though. Hope this helped.

Bob,

I have a few F bass /contrabass trombones and might consider selling one.
