For those of you who can't stomach

Post by Chuck Jackson »

Country and Western music (I am one who just has a little bit of a problem, but not Bluegrass though, which I LOVE, but I digress), run, don't walk to wherever you get your music and buy Ray Charles' "Modern Sounds in Country and Western Volumes 1and2". Who knew C&W could swing this hard and still keep ones interest even in sappy, choir backed, ballads? Maybe one of the best things I have purchased in a long time. INCREDIBLE.

Chuck"who bought his copy USED on Amazon for $4. It was NEW. Thank you MovieMars"Jackson

My parents bought Modern Sounds when they were first released and I have had them in my collection ever since. They are part of the basic repertoire of classic C&W and pop (as a child growing up in the 60's and 70's in TX, I listened to whole lotta C&W--Loretta Lynn, Hank Williams Sr., Porter Waggoner, Lynn Anderson, Johnny Cash, etc.)

Some would say C&W is an "acquired taste" but I think its great music.
