Quite honestly, Mark, what I REALLY need is a DRIVER...
I have the vehicle you need.

But you have to supply the hippie flowers.

I didn't see any of those around Berkeley in the hippie days, Rick. But saw LOTS of these:

I had one of those, too--a '71 Campmobile. Again, you would have had to supply the hippie flowers, but I did install the orange shag carpet.

Those Berkeley hippies just had no class. But the GMC Motorhome didn't come out until 1973--already a little late for the Berkeley scene.

Toyota engine? No, that would be entirely too practical and reliable. This one has an Oldsmobile 455 with Toronado/Eldorado front-wheel drive. Can you say "torque"?

Back to hipness: The Redhead and I were driving the motorhome to the Jersey Shore. We were driving down the beach drag at Belmont Beach or some such, and the traffic was heavy. We noticed a crowd of 20-ish surfer types on the sidewalk, and they pointed at us in open-mouthed awe. One guy punched his buddy, and said loudly, "I want one of those." We couldn't hear him, but it was obvious what he was saying.

Hey Rick,

That looks a lot like the Urban Assault Vehicle introduced in the movie "Stripes" with Bill Murray. Nice ride especially if it's outfitted with rockets. :)

An office mate, on seeing a picture of it when I first bought it, exclaimed "An EM-50!".

Mine doesn't have the optional equipment, alas. But it will smoke the front tires!

I used to have an Oldsmobile 442; so I think I may be able to handle this vehicle.

Hopefully, we won't be going to any foreign countries. I would hate to make a mistake converting bridge and overpass clearances from meters.

Also, if we paint flowers on the outside, what do you think it will look like to the fuzz when I drive by buzzing on my mouthpiece stuck into a clear Forced Air Resistance Tube.

can you play hendrix's version of the National Anthem on the tuba? run your mic through a few pedals and really get some distortion.
