While I have not used Joli OS, I commend you on your vast exploration into Linux distros on your various netbooks. Joli certainly feels like it is riding the wave, moving towards a tablet style of OS. Gnome 3.0 and Ubuntu's relatively new Unity interface are also trying to ride that wave, but to me feel horribly awkward. Are they a desktop UI or a touch-device UI? Joli seems to lean heavily towards touch and has borrowed heavily from the iOS and Android models. While Ubuntu and Red Hat/Fedora may have the name recognition, Joli OS certainly seems to be a very solid UI.
