Hi everyone,
I'm having some issues with a double NAT on my internet in my house. I have recently switched to AT&T U-Verse, and they have wireless internet built into their modem. I prefer to use my Airport Extreme, as I use that to backup my hard drive and for other purposes in my mouse, including wireless internet.
However, having both on is causing this issue. Of course, AT&T is blaming Apple, and vice versa, so I cannot get any of this to work. I've turned off the wireless from the wireless internet, but it still is giving me issues. Any network specialists here have any suggestions?
Thanks very much!
Andy

Re: NAT Issue with Wi-Fi
Chances are that both are using the 192.168.0.xx subnet for the network address translation. Change one to use a pool of addresses using 192.168.1.xx and also assign that router an address within that range. I would also suggest turning off "Wi-Fi protecte setup" as that has proven secure. Always use wpa2 encryption if possible, never use wep.ASTuba wrote:Hi everyone,

+1 I had to do this even with my cheapo ATT DSL modem. My modem is 192.168..1.x and the rest of my network is 192.168.2.x
