I have something called "Stroboscopic Tuner", but don't find it very useful, use a meter style tuner instead, gString. Do you find that yours distinguishes the lower partials within the tone pretty well? I wondered if the built-in microphone in my phone gives the tuner good enough data to work with.

There's also a phenomenal tuning app called "Pitch Lab" (Android+crapple). It free and has a strobe tuner, guitar/bass tuner, chord analyzer, overtone analyzer, and more stuff that I forget right now. I can't recommend this app highly enough
