Sad News - from Boise, ID

Post by Rick F »

Some of you here may remember Fred Dart. He was euphonium soloist with the USAF band back in late '50s and early '60s during the Col. Howard era (1944-1963). Fred received his BA at Michigan under William Revelli. Fred passed away Oct. 17th. He had to give up playing euphonium last year due to his suffering with pulmonary issues. He was still conducting the Boise Community band that he founded. For more information, see link below. Fred was a good friend and my teacher/mentor when I got back into playing euphonium 14 or 15 years ago. He will be dearly missed. RIP Fred Dart.
