Farewell old friend

Post by Ken Herrick »

The evil deed will happen in a few hours. My trusty ole King 1241 will be going to a new home. Waaaayyyyyy under priced but the mad keen 16 year old lad needs a good axe but hasn't got much money. Same age I was and I didn't have many $$$$ when I bought my first King monster. A kind music shop owner sold it to me cheap - it had been his personal instrument for years.

Dan S. made the old fella a good player and with a few more mods, converted it to fixed bell for one, a couple years ago when I got back to playing decently, if there had been an orchestra job open, I would not have hesitated at all to go for it using it.

Yep, hard to part but, since I can't play worth a damn anymore, somebody who can make good use of it might as well have it.
Free to tuba: good home
