best classical mp3 download site?

Post by bort »

I just started using iTunes, and while it's pretty good overall, for anything over about 15 minutes in length, they make you buy the entire CD. I can understand the basic principle that sometimes it's just too much to sell for only $0.99 - however, I think it's a little short sighted of them to not offer the single tune for only a buck or two more.

Are any of the other mp3 sites a little more liberal about this?

You don't feel that $9.99 per album is a fair price for classical CD's? Unless it's a multi-CD set, that is the usual price.

Seems like a great deal to me, and the instant gratification with broadband is nice too. Itunes has the best classical selection of all the online music services I've used.

I agree that it's a fair price. It's just that I don't always want everything on the CD - which is really the entire point of the $0.99 songs in the first place.

Also, if I were going to get the whole CD, I may as well just walk over to the bookstore at the harbor and buy the CD.
