Do you have any idea how much more efficient it is to not spend money than trying to earn enough to spend??
How about not consuming excess calories instead of working them off??
Or worrying about how that extra beer will feel the next day??
No??
I have no idea either.

Teaching mathematics in a high school ...
MISERICORDE, n.
A dagger which in mediaeval warfare was used by the foot soldier to remind an unhorsed knight that he was mortal.

Anything involving frozen meat, and not thawing it the night before.
But then I always think, "how was I supposed to know yesterday what I want to eat today?!"

This isn't rocket science, and I know plenty of folks who employ this tactic. I fill a large bowl or other such vessel with cold tap water, put the meat (in its packaging, which is usually a vacuum sealed bag as I'm prone to buying lots of meat at Costco and then dividing it into smaller packages that my family will eat in one or two meals), and then put the bowl in the fridge for the day. It thaws more quickly than sitting in the air in the fridge on its own. It can take anywhere from a couple of hours for a pound of chicken or ground beef or the like, to the entire day (as in I'll do this before I leave for work in the morning) for something bigger like a beef or pork roast, or a whole chicken.

Yep, that definitely works, and I do that too.
But it's more like "uh oh, it's 7:00, better make dinner..."
