My wife, a very understanding flute player, saw this cartoon and fell off her chair laughing. For her birthday I bought her a a piccolo and packaged it in a box labeled tuba.

Well, that guy should be married to me. I don't own a couch or a recliner chair, have bare concrete in my house, sleep on a cot, don't have a dresser or any other furniture, just shelves with bins on them, a several years old 22" TV, no cable service, and I just bought a Norwegian Star. Take that.

Mary Ann, you are the woman of my dreams. Congratulations on your passion for instruments. You have a perfect understanding of how instruments can dominate our thoughts, our very lives. Back in the 1990's, I had three trombones, nine trumpets in various keys, two French horns, three tubas, two violins, one viola, and a piano. Now, at age 80 and out of steam, I have sold most of these, but go to lots of concerts to live vicariously watching other musicians play their instruments.

Best, Ace

10K? 40k? Wouldn't a Cut down York be a lot less than that? Of course, I think 25K is where "pro" violins start at.

For that much I can get 2-3 custom level trombones.
Yamaha YBB-631S BBb Tuba, B&H Imperial Eb Tuba, Sterling / Perantucci 1065GHS Euphonium
Yamaha YBL-621 RII Bass Trombone and a bunch of other trombones
