Long post trivia: Who can name the small Illinois town where there used to be a post much like this with a bunch of tires on it, stacked around it? How to be clear about this, they were ringing the pole, with the pole through the centers of the tires, several feet high, maybe 10 feet or more. I always wondered how they did that. It is not still there. Probably they had to be disposed of properly.

Yes, a long post with a short life.
