Yes, it could be like visiting a different tavern. Your home tavern likes you/tolerates you/ignores you. If you vomit in the bathroom, they just get the mop bucket and tease the hell out of you next time you are in and sober. If you dump a whole pitcher of beer on yourself, they help clean you up and let you borrow one of the tavern's baseball team sweatshirts to wear home. If you do anything like these things in an unknown tavern, they will hoot at you, call you names and maybe call the police. At the very least, if you are having a discussion about things you know about and you say something someone thinks is a little "rough", you will be called "mean".
