Thanks to an intrusive ad in Windows Media Player, I just recently found out that a DVD of the Cream reunion concerts in May 2005 is available. It was recorded at Royal Albert hall, and it's a class act.
For us oldies who are unregenerate Clapton, Bruce, and Baker fans, it's pure heaven. They're definitely older and grayer, but they've matured over the years. Clapton's on top of his playing game, and his singing's much better than it was in the '60's. Bruce is still a great player and excellent singer, although he's lost some of his vocal range. Ginger Baker plays exactly the same, though his voice's a bit deeper.
They cover most of their better cream material, and the DVD has alternate versions of several songs. They have the old Cream fire, but their greater maturity makes them sound even better.

Did they have a nurse or MD anywhere near him? Inquiring minds want to know. Thanks for the heads up. May have to look for my alternative smoking apparatus when I get it.

Baker's Boy
Ginger plays just fine (no virtuoso, but solid), sings badly (was forced to sing Pressed Rat and Toad in public for the first time by family members) and seems to be quite functional without the aid of immediate medical attention. He speaks slowly and tenatively, but seems rational. Or maybe slightly potted.
