Bad spelling or grammar is not restricted to license plates and bank advertising: there is a huge banner out by the highway promoting the town's " annual anniversary".

Re: Update Update
Last night the cops found pawprints of a cougar (last spotted a week ago and no not the female kind) in the neighborhood.
Today as of right now the police station and surrounding area is roped off while the bomb squad goes to work due to several old - but - live hand grenades found in the station parking lot.
I can only surmise the grenades are the handy work of the cougar in response to being tracked by the police.

Tested and proven tonight: A 191 in a MTS case WILL fit in the back seat of a four-door 1996 Nissan Sentra.

Re: Update Update
It does seem to be kind of a perversion when the horn is worth multiples of the value of the car transporting it.

I disagree with the Honorable Mr. Wade Rackley's proclamation of the banning of dihydrogen monoxide. I believe it is socialist.

Re: Update Update
I went to the Tennessee State Fair this week and had a smoked Turkey leg and a lemonade with an entire lemon crushed in it. Although exorbitantly priced, both were outstanding and far better than typical "fair" food of corndogs, chicken-on-a-stick, etc. Kids got the bracelets and went on every ride imaginable (this time, BEFORE they ate)

Re: Update Update
So for the past week or so, I've had a really bad cough (one person without knowing how serious it was asked if I was dying). I was talking to my mother this morning and she suggested Claritin...of course it cleared up the problem. But now I'm really tired (also only got 6 hours of sleep last night, 4 the night before) have to go to class at 6, a tribute concert at 7:30, reception after (free food) and then either project runway party (from what i've heard) or sleep.
My bed is going to feel so good tonight...

Re: Update Update
As much as I'm a dog person and think there are too many stray cats here, I would never use a paintball gun on them...not that I wouldn't want to (or that it wouldn't make some of my friends very happy)schlepporello wrote:And now you know the real reason why the paintball gun was developed.Tuba Guy wrote:With all of the random cats running around here, I wouldn't be completely surprised

Re: Update Update
It took me over 50 years , but I have finally outlived my urge to kill anything. I'll eat it if someone else pulls the trigger but that's as far as I go anymore. I do not like wild or stray animals on my deck messin' wid my birds 'doh. This is a wonderful solution. At muzzle velocities about 400 ft per sec they hit hard enough to flush the toughest customers but don't break the skin. I have personally vamoused sqirrels, rabbits, coons, a fox, numerous cats and dogs, the largest my neighbors pit bull. I am once again the undisputed king of my deck.

Re: Update Update
Well, I played Fnugg in my school's solo class today. Honestly, it was terrible. Yet they all thought it was the best thing they'd ever heard. Not really sure how to respond to something that I know was not even close to how well I wanted to perform it... (i can put up a video...it is reallllllly bad)

Re: Update Update
Hittin the road in a couple hours for a quick round trip from Grand Forks, ND to Ladd IL to pick up an ebay purchase of a PA system. Gonna be a quick trip and turn around but it was a good enough deal to warrant the trip.
Hope all is well for your weekend adventurs.

Re: Update Update
Music is about communication, not reproduction. Unless you MEAN to communicate disappointment and confusion (which is not particularly satisfying for an audience), DON'T.Tuba Guy wrote:I did that...but it didn't feel rightLJV wrote:Say: "Thank you! Think of it as the audience reading a book. What they got out of it may not be what you meant to communicate, but they read into it from their own experiences. It may be quite a bit more than you meant. Going with it may not feel right, but it may actually BE accurate.
This is where good Jazz starts, for example.
For yourself, just let the experience you had compel yourself to practice harder, perhaps in a different way, so that your communication is more accurate.
Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?
