How about kids who can't read and parents who educate them with television sets?
People who go to grocery stores, pay for their purchases with food stamps, and drive away in a brand new escalade
People who feel that they have a right to stand up, talk, and visit with their neighbors at a concert.
People who think that a graduation ceremony is a sporting event. They also feel that they should be able to walk into my orchestra pit and visit with everyone at a considerable volume level.
I hate it when British people go out of their way to use words which mean something different to Americans. (The peeve isn't against the people, it's the language...)
In the supermarket:
"Go get the trolley over there?"
"Trolley? Saigon has trolleys? I thought there were only city buses."
Upon meeting people:
"Next time I'm in Ho Chi Minh City, I'll ring you..."
"You'll wring me?"
In a hotel...
"Look, tomorrow morning I'll come down and knock you up!"
"You'd better not!"

That's actually the MAIN reason I have a radar detector in my car. I always like to know when I'll be approaching a speed trap, or when there is a police vehicle nearby because whenever a cop car is in the vicinity, the majority of drivers start paying more attention to the cop than to their own driving. I go on high moron alert when there is danger of cop car distraction.

I've never seen ANY paint on ANY car or truck that couldn't be easily cut by a car key.

People who pass along very obviously bogus e-mail hoaxes and rumors without investing the 3 minutes it takes to research and find out if they're real or not. Just because someone forwarded you an e-mail telling you that diet coke will give you siezures, lupus, and brain cancer, doesn't make it real.

Did you know that drinking lots of Tab or Fresca will reverse these conditions? It's all about the saccharine, man. I learned that information from an email that had been forwarded about 250 times, eventually landing in my inbox. Thanks goodness I am so well informed!
But did you ever get that check from Bill Gates and AOL for sending that e-mail to 250,000 people???
