Excellent flip folio for us with old eyes. Just enlarge the march size music to 160% and it fits 8.5 x 11" paper perfectly. The use plastic sheet protectors and you have a folio for grown ups!

This photo was taken at the first annual 'All Florida Community Band' gathering in Orlando, FL at the annual FBA conference two weeks ago.

Someone in the group said during the picture, "This is probably the biggest gathering of euphers where there wasn't beer involved".

This was a lot of fun. We rehearsed 7 hours Thurs, 4 hours Friday and then concert Friday night. We performed a new piece entitled, "Journey Through Orion" by Julie A Giroux (scheduled for release September '06), directed by Cmdr. Allen Beck, U.S. Navy Band (ret).

Wow, I don't recognize anyone...except Jenna Topper (I think). Is she a grad student now? She and I started at IC in 97. Tell Unland that Todd Morgan sends his best and I hope that his health is getting better and better each day.

**EDIT**

Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeease have a sandwich at Hot Truck tonight! OMG I miss that so much!!

Did "Joe's" ever open back up again. Me and my wife used to eat there a lot and they closed down in late 2001 or early 2002 and I have always wondered if they reopenned.

It takes more than cancer to stop Dave Unland. and where is this 'Joe's " of which you speak?
YOU DON'T KNOW WHERE JOE'S IS???????

Blasphemy!!

www.joesithaca.com

I did a web search and I found that they are open. I would give anything (ok...maybe not ANYTHING) to have their "Chicken Venchenti" GAAAA...they took it off their current menu. The Chicken Venchenti was an Eggplant Parm and a Chicken Parm that was layered with a ricotta cheese in between. Mmmmmmmmmm yum!

I'm sorry to hear that something happen to Jenna. She's a good tuba player! I wish I too could go back to school and get my masters degree. BUT...now I have a house, a mortgage, etc that I have to take care of. We'd have to sell our house in order for us to be able to go back to school.

Good luck to you!!

Stinger?? Explain....

During my last 2 years at IC I lived @ Hudson Heights and me and my wife would walk to Rogans and get pizza and wings. MMMMMmmmm! If you like Asian food, I recommend both the Korean and the Vietnamese restaurants in Collegetown.

Alf, what do you think of your 1292?? Where did you purchase it? I've been wanting to try a 1291 or 1292 for years now.

Hello, you Ithacans! I'll be there on Aug. 22 to bring my son, Dan, up for late orientation, to move him in, and to begin his freshman year as a mus. ed. / tuba major. He's looking forward to his experience there as we've been there many times over the past 3 years to visit his sister, Jenna, who will be a senior mus. ed./horn perf. major this year. Ithaca is a great place and a great college with a very fine music dept. In my correspondence with Dave, he's doing well, playing and teaching again, and he is planning to return this year. Todd, I hope all is well with you and yours. I was in Birmingham for one day when I was with the Lombardo band and I had no idea what anybody was saying to me. BTW all, my son's Jupiter 582 is still for sale. I guess I should bump it up again. He's playing a 56J now. See you in Ithaca!!

GREAT pic for a camera phone!

Dang...for a camera phone, that's really good. Ours won't look that good, even if you found some type of tripod thingy for it.

Sorry - it's avatar sized. Here's one from when I when I was trapped in 1970 for about a year or so:
