The sun was out today, and weather was warm enough for shorts and no sweat shirt. 'Bout time. Rain returns this weekend, however. Welcome to Oregon.

False alarm. A guy in landscaping, who mows lawns for a living, had 2 gas cans in his car. Go figure.

I am off to practice my tuba and write a sermon. Debating about which to do first.

You've been updated :!:

There used to be a pretty well known freelancer in NY who'd take his mute on the subway. When asked what it was, he'd reply "A nuclear warhead; make my day."

'Course, that was pre-9/11... :|

I'm guessing that, overall, you'll see greater benefit from #1.

It's going to be a beautiful day today. Highs in the 70s, sunny, and low wind.

On tap is fishing the Mother's Day caddis hatch, horseback riding in the afternoon, and smoking ribs in the late afternoon/evening.

Mr. "The Jackson" you left out the best part - SRanney is fishing from horseback. I bet that gets as exciting as sousaphone player who is in a cavalry regimental band unit. :P

UPDATE:

Yesterday, I got up the evening, and I didn't have anything to say. I came home in the morning feeling the same way. I'm not anything but tired, man. I'm just tired and bored with myself. Baby, I could just use a little help.

You can't start a fire.

You just can't, without a spark.

This gun's for hire, even if we are just dancing in the dark.

Samuel pooped in the potty tonight! This is a landmark date! After TEN YEARS of changing diapers and wiping stinky butts, I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. My oldest just turned 10. He got potty trained about when the second was born, who got potty trained about when the third was born. No breaks whatsoever :(

Rule #7a
There are no breaks. About the time the youngest is out of the house and on his own, the oldest will show up with the grandkids. Then the fun really begins. It's best to learn to enjoy the process 'cause there are NO breaks.

So is "Dona" referring to your new Conn or a person of interest?

Donna is my nickname for the Conn Donatelli.

My Conn Giant, acquired just a couple months prior, was nicknamed Julie. Julie was short, fat, loud, and sometimes difficult to work with.

The Reynolds bass trombone with the copper (bronze?) bell is the Tangerine Terror.
