Yeah, but it would still be a heck of a big file then, and SOME folks are still on dialup [not me!]! It takes about 10 seconds with MSPaint to reduce the size of the file to 136K.

True, but dropping the display size is a good start, and solve the nostril issue quickly.
I still use 33.6k baud dialup at home, so I know what yo mean.
Another option, a place like imageshack.us will generate thumbnails for you when you upload and image, and give you the code for "click to enlarge"

Here I am with the first tuba I owned, about 10 years ago. I have a little less hair and weigh about 15 lbs more, but don't look that different. OK, I was holding it for the photographer, not actually playing it at the time.
