I suspect the Cowboys will need to have an ownership change before they improve significantly. Hiring thugs, criminals, jerks and ego maniacs apparently comes naturally to Jerry Jones. (Firing decent men like Tom Landry and annoucing it to the press before telling Mr. Landry also comes naturally to Jones.)TubaRay wrote:I wonder if we'll ever see the Cowboys regain the form that gave them at least some reason to be called Amerca's team.
I watched that game and it was fun to watch- especially since I like the Seahawks.TubaRay wrote:How 'bout them Cowboys!!! Having lived in Texas most of my life, I have traditional been a Dallas Cowboys fan(far from a rabid sports fan am I).
I grew up in Dallas in the 60's & 70's and was a rabid Cowboys fan. But since Jones has been here, I always hope at the beginning of the season, that the Cowboys have an 0-16 record. Maybe if Parcells and T.O. (Terminally Obnoxious) stay a while longer.....Mark wrote: I suspect the Cowboys will need to have an ownership change before they improve significantly. My feelings are quite similar.chipster55 wrote:I grew up in Dallas in the 60's & 70's and was a rabid Cowboys fan. What are your soothsayer picks for next week?
You guys don't realize that rooting for a loser since 1967 and finding them second seed in the NFC can be heady stuff.TubaRay wrote:Gotta agree with that, Doc.Doc wrote:
And that goes all the way back to 1962 when they were the Houston Colt 45s. Anyway. Don't take us too seriously on the yawning thing.Doc wrote:We have the Astros, remember?tubatooter1940 wrote:You guys don't realize that rooting for a loser since 1967 and finding them second seed in the NFC can be heady stuff.TubaRay wrote: Gotta agree with that, Doc.

Predictions for this week:
-New England over San Diego in OT- not sure about this pick, but it will be a close game.
-Ravens over Colts- even after seeing the Colts' D last week, I think the Ravens will put across enough points, and if Peyton had 3 INTs against the Chiefs, imagine how he'll do against a good defense...
-Eagles over Saints- so I'm biased, but we lost to them on a game-winning FG as time expired earlier in the season, and frankly, I don't like the New Orleans D.
-Seahawks over Bears- the Seahawks won a game they weren't supposed to last week, and I think it could happen again.
Can't score on Paris Hilton? Is it possible to be that bad?ASTuba wrote: Bears over Seahawks, simply because Seattle's offense can't score on Paris Hilton right now...
