I wonder when that picture was taken. Did you see the price of the gasoline?

Wade, we still drive old cars on the West Coast. The last car I bought was a 1989 Volvo in 2005!

Even if you could blow up this picture to see the dates the license plates expired they probably would be expired. No, I got this picture from the Rocky Mountain Roads website and nothing there was taken before 1999. My guess is this picture is from about 2000 or 2001. Gasoline has always been cheaper in Nevada than California, even though my mother lives around twenty refineries in the town where she lives near San Bernardino.

I can't tell you the year in which this photo was taken, but I'd be willing to bet it was taken in the month of January.

That's because there's more tax on gasoline in California than in Nevada.
