Where's Your 'Stimulus' Money Going?

Window World called, said new windows were to be delivered and installed Friday. Thursday, I spent removing all window treatments and moving furnuture, tuba, etc... 3 feet away from any windows.
Friday they call with news the truck broke down and would I like them to install Tuesday or Wednesday. We chose Tuesday.
I am having to listen to frequent "living in a fishbowl" complaints from my better half.

The two Window World guys showed up Tuesday bright and early. They installed 11 windows and left no mess.
One was a drummer (but he caulked so well) and the other was a guitar player. Needless to say we hit it off.
I gave them each a C.D., we exchanged business cards and I would recommend those guys for window or music work.

I think it has to do with when I filed my taxes. Since I owed this year, I didn't file until first week in April... and did not use e-file.

When did you file you 2007 return? E-file or paper?
Did you put a bank account on the return so that the "stimulus" can be electronically deposited or do you have to wait for the check to be mailed?

All those factor in when determining when you will see the money.

Some big name at a brokerage said he expects $150 bbl by July 4, and the market does it's level best to prove him right and get it there before the end of June

The market I don't get at all, since the reported numbers (unemployment) was better than expected

Well, it could be you are like me and made to much and thus are disqualified.

I'd be happy to be in that position

Phase out starts at AGI of $75k single, $150k married.
Phase out is 5% of the amount above that limit, so $87k and $174k.
(higher with kids).

So, I'd much prefer to have $174k AGI (actually $186k since I have kids) and not get the check.
Now that I think about it, I be happy if I hit the phase out ($87k) for single filers.

So, the printed checks are starting to make it out.

We just got ours today. We are talking about using it to change over from oil heat to gas. Shouldn't be much of a streach, as we already have gas for the stove, water heater and dryer.

The stimulus money is gone but our new windows are superb.
We got our $800 back we were about to spend on our 6 year old Casey's school because he was accepted in the magnet school for math and science. (He'll always be a drummer to me)
This money will buy us two top-of-the-line thunder mugs.
I'm talkin' tall boy, oval bowl, flush fifty golf balls at the same time - mega crappers.
