Re: Great News!!!
Interesting reading this. When I was a late-teenager and "left home involuntarily" I scared some blue-hairs pretty badly at times, on my motorcycle wearing my leathers, with a big ole chain for a belt. And I was completely, totally harmless. There were, and are, some much-more-acceptable-looking people out there who really *should* scare the daylights out of not only the blue-hairs, but they *look* conventional enough to fit in.

I completely agree.Greg wrote:This is true. But does that make it acceptable to walk around with your pants at your knees? It's one thing to make a statement with your clothing, it's something else entirely to walk around with your butt showing
I remember when I was about 6 or 7 there were some folks protesting in front of an abortion clinic. They carried signs that were so graphic I can remember them quite clearly to this day. Yes, they had the right to protest. At what point, however, do one's "freedoms" cease to be when they start effecting the "freedoms" of others? I do not want to see those pants, hear someone else's music, and SURE AS HELL did not want to see those signs when I was younger!
I know the answer...and it sucks....

I always illustrate it thusly: My freedom to swing my arm ends at the bridge of your nose.bloke wrote:The "answer" (again) is to work hard enough and take enough risks with the excess income to generate enough capital to be able to live where you do not have to drive past a nasty abortion clinic with people outside showing pictures of what goes on inside.TexTuba wrote: I completely agree.
