Re: Update Update
Outside my window is the deck. It is made of wood. It has a raised terrace that's so small that we can't figure out what it's for. It can't be for the grill because the gas line is on the other side of the deck. On the terrace sit two potted plants, one dying. Actually, both dying. Beyond the deck a large pear tree (the stinky kind) looms over the terrace. The wind is blowing. It's a little dark. The light on the outside of the deck is on, so that's why I can see.
Now, why did I look out the window?

Smoking will no longer be allowed in the "Update Update" thread unless an actual update is being posted. Additionally, there will be no smoking while posting updates in the "Update Update" thread.
One more rule you know I'll not follow.
What about smoking other than tobacco products?

Re: Update Update
Double update,
First, am I the only one who say the current Mississippi river valley floods coming in January/February? With all the snow this past winter everyone should have know it was coming and prepared.
(OUCH!, burned my hand with my cigarette)
Secondly, I'm wondering how to talk my wife out of a new refrigerator and instead replace the door gaskets on the current 10yr old unit. Oh, and hope that solves the problem, and that the add strain on the compressor while the gaskets have been getting worse does not lead to it failing a few months later.

I prefer my "Mayor Marion Barry Limited Signature Edition" crack pipe. It's coated with Teflon so nothing actually sticks to it. And it's got a audio microchip that automatically says "B*tch set me up" anytime an FBI Agent gets within 50 yards.Greg wrote:Crack pipes are safer than cigarettes.

Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

taking a drivel update break from working on the "In Memoriam" presentation for ITEC next. week. pretty amazing how much talent/icons/history/future we've lost in the past couple of years.

Re: Update Update
UPDATE: I heard that if your dog doesn't like your Roomba, you are supposed to scold the Roomba when the dog can see/hear so that the dog knows that you don't love the Roomba more.
Additional Update based on Blokes mulch story....work is about to get an aggreement for an additional 10,000 tons/year of stuff to turn into mulch/compost.

Re: Update Update
Roomba update:
Still works great. Use it upstairs one day, downstairs the next. Overall just easier to breathe in the house--pretty amazing how much dust it really takes care of. Our dog doesn't run from it, but isn't sure of it either--no no scolding of either party needed, thus far.
