Since today was National Jackson Stays Home From School And Plays Video Games Day, I drank some dirty tap water, Minute Maid lemonade taken from a friend's house, Mott's apple juice and Coke.

Right now I'm just drinking up the good vibes, man. 8)

It's been a long week. Time to kick back and have a cold one. I had to try it: Michelob Ultra now has some flavored beers. I tried the pomegranite/raspberry. I've had citrus beers, but this weekend the other flavors didn't strike me.

Normally, I don't go for "fu-fu" drinks, and if it weren't on "sale" (yeah -- I know about the thread on the 'sale' topic) I probably woudn't have bought it. I won't again. But to quote Monty Pyton, I was in the mood for "something completely different," and it is, well, interesting.

I think I hit the peak today with the norovirus going around. It hurts to cough, so I'm staying moderaly drunk on brandy. (It's Saturday!) I am trying, for the first time, some of Sam's (Walmart) flavored, carbonated water too. This stuff is good. I finished the Black Cherry; almost done with Kiwi Strawberry.

I must admit,

"Back in the day" (11th/12th grades) some friends and I occasionally declared a *"National Beater Holiday". Instead of going to school, we would stop at the grocery, pick up some chicken thighs, ground beef, and other refreshments. We would take a dip in the pool (one kid had both parents who worked AND a pool - so that, generally, was the location) while the barbeque grill did it's thing. We would finish the day off with other refreshments, and check into school with "doctors' notes" just in time for 7th period jazz band.

And the piano sounds like a carnival
And the microphone smells like a beer
And they sit at the bar and put bread in my jar
And say "Man, what are you doin' here?"
Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

I was privileged by the manager of the Starbucks kiosk in our local grocery store putting a sticker on my favorite old 20-oz travel mug. Now I get refills for $0.85, including local tax. This local kiosk switches around the varieties, so over the course of time I've been privileged to enjoy just about all of the different grinds.
