Two nit-wits running for the US Senate from Kentucky spent 80 MILLION on their campaigns. Seems like that much money could have been spent on other important things instead of being pissed away on TV advertisement. Glad it's over!

Stop whining about *not* being in the advertising business. :|

Talking about our political system in general should not cause the thread to be locked, as long as you don't take a political position or advocate a specific party or candidate. I don't see a problem with any of these posts. Personally I'm pretty upset with all politicians in general, no exceptions.

We used the electronic voting machines.

The incumbent member of the U.S. Congress won handily despite facing a 20 count indictment for financial crimes and perjury. I didn't vote him, but I'm pleased that he was re-elected since it really doesn't matter which blithering idiot holds the office and the trial beginning in December could be quite entertaining.

I voted for losers (people and ballot initiatives) across the board. Oh well...

Testing the "X" buttons, he found that those only required one touch.

He reported it to a poll worker, and also to a state-wide irregularities-reporting phone number.

Here is a link to a comedian's really funny look at our political process, also really sad.

Speed limit on NYC local roads is now 25mph, unless posted otherwise.

According to the local paper, speed limit enforcement in my area has doubled. I'm glad for that.

From our New Horizons board minutes this month:

"Carl M****n stated that their [jazz band] drummer uses his own rums for rehearsal and gigs."

You have now been updated from Marietta,GA.

Just returned from 4 days at the beach, Cape San Blas, FL. Colder than the proverbial witch's whatever. There is just something about wearing sweats and jackets(hoods too) that diminishes the value of a beach trip. Brrrrrrrr.
