Really sorry you got hurt, but very glad you're here to post about it. Hope there's no permanent damage to you.

85mph - damn.

I like deli llama, especially if it's nice and rare and sliced thinly. If it's overcooked and/or sliced too thickly it tends to be tough and chewy. However, if I am going to eat one of the camelid species, I prefer vicuna. Much more tender.

Which begs the question:

Why is this referred to as a doughnut "hole"?

It's baked of the dough they punch out of doughnuts to make holes.

Not true. At least, not at Krispy Kreme (my summer job). The doughnuts themselves and the doughnut holes we made were made using completely different types of batter.

Also, the machine we used to cut out the doughnuts cut them out in their final shape from the start, no excess batter.

Just took a couple of Dulcolax. The real fun starts in a few hours when I take the Fleets EZ-Prep bowel cleanser. I will keep you updated.

I think we are all in for a Gallagherian performance.

I nailed both high Ab's
FWIW, if you listen to the John Fletcher recording (and I think the Arnold Jacobs DG recording as well) they play the cadenza with a single high Ab, in a different location. The "optional" Ab's in the written cadenza seem very arbitrary, the Fletch Ab fits in much better musically. The first time I played the VW for a trombone professor (who had already heard it WAY too many times) he commented on how much better he liked the different placement of the Ab. Being that it is a cadenza, and with a tradition of that alternate performance, I don't forsee you getting "dinged" for playing the alternate (quite possibly original) way.

Just took the bigger of the two Fleets EZ-Prep. Mixed with 12 oz water and flavoring, and followed with another 12 oz water. The stuff really didn't taste bad at all - it reminded me of Gatorade but saltier.
I remember when my mother-in-law used to have to drink the "Go Lightly" stuff about 9 years ago. It was a huge container, and tasted absolutely dreadful. The second or third time she had to do it, she was literally crying.
To anyone who has any reservations about the Fleets - don't. It's probably better than anything you ever drank at band camp.
