bloke, we had a couple of those free car washes but missed the free drying by fifty miles or so. Done in by the snow in Wyoming. No fart sounds for currency, however...

Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

Well. That makes sense. Back from a cruise to Bermuda from Baltimore, the ship band was decent but would have been better with a tuba!!

Man that Lee Stofer is clever. Birds woke me at 5 this morning. I went to the kitchen and made fried eggs with Canadian bacon.opus37 wrote:Just had the valve buttons for my 1892 helicon restored by Lee Stofer. It is commencement week with 6 ceremonies this weekend. In my role as the house manager for the Great Hall all I can say is that I am thankful I don't have to play my tuba this weekend, and even better, I may not even have to step foot in the hall since I'll be overseeing all the activities and staff in the loggia. I haven't been this excited for commencement in a very long time.

I know you have a full schedule this week and coming weekend, but playing your tuba is a joy not a task! You have been sentenced to 5 minutes of no coffee or bacon.Chadtuba wrote:It is commencement week with 6 ceremonies this weekend. Which ship?
How many days?
Itinerary?
7
Baltimore, to Bermuda, to Baltimore.
More days at sea than in port but the seas were favorable and being in the middle of the ocean is a nice experience.
No whales but we did spot some dolphin, flying fish and a giant manta.
Bermuda is glorious; much smaller and less populated than I imagined, and the beaches not as pink as I thought they would be.
But I'm not complaining!!

Yes, playing tuba is a joy but playing P&C ad naseum is complete and total punishment. Sentence rescinded and to make up for it I reward myself with 5 minutes of double bacon and coffee and then a glass of Johnny Walker Black when I get home this evening.opus37 wrote:I know you have a full schedule this week and coming weekend, but playing your tuba is a joy not a task! Terri and I cruised to St. Thomas and other Virgin Islands this past January. Too danged much water and too little land to suit me. Just tol artificial. And besides... I don't think I saw any virgins the entire trip!schlepporello wrote:..... I think I'd like to try a cruise like that just one time. Well... after watching about thirty minutes of Dave Letterman's farewell show... I fully understand why I watched very little of him over the last thirty-three years.

After the allegations (proven) that Dave molested female employees and CBS did nothing, I stopped watching. Then I discovered Jimmy Fallon. I like his humor better. I never last past the opening sections because his interviews are not very interesting to me.TubaTinker wrote:Well... after watching about thirty minutes of Dave Letterman's farewell show... The larger ships can't fit under the bridge on the way to Baltimore so only the Vision class gets up here.
I prefer smaller ships as the last cruise (and only other one I'd been on) was on a Star Clipper.
WOW!! That was First Class (Even in a balcony free stateroom)
We did the Barbados/Grenadines tour

My wife also prefers the Radiance class. I prefer the Voyager class. Our last cruise was on a Freedom class ship and neither of us liked it. We''ll be back on the Radiance class in October.schlepporello wrote:Cool! My wife and I love Royal Caribbean and we prefer the Radiance class ships.
