I believe 'Naive' is an adjectival noun, not a typo. Unfortunately the sarcasm here was missed by some.Three Valves wrote:Can it, you Naive!!tbn.al wrote:What????? The shirt in your picture looks pretty stiff. Is that the result of all your irony?

My previous update turns out to have been incorrect. I wish to apologize. Please take the time to search this entire thread so that you might find it, read it, and then kindly forget what I said.

Re: Update Update
I'm a firm believer that if you're going to spend any time listening to music at home, you should have the best stereo equipment that you can afford (and seriously, it seems like the sky is the limit).
I recently found a steal of a deal on eBay for a lightly used, VERY nice stereo (er... "home theater"
) receiver, so I decided to replace my old one. Nothing was wrong with the old one, except the remote control sensor on the unit doesn't work... I had to get up off my lazy butt and turn up/down the volume myself).
This is paired with some excellent speakers I bought for next to nothing at a moving sale a few years ago. They're old (made in West Germany), but don't seem to have been used much, and are in great shape. So, it took me a few years, but I've now accumulated what, to me, is quite an excellent stereo system.
I have to say, it's kind of crazy to listen to recordings that you've heard a hundred times before... and all of a sudden they sound "better" and you notice stuff you hadn't noticed before.

Re: Update Update
The subject has been around the block many times. However... I wish to state that around Noon today (Saturday) I got a call from Greyhound that a tuba that was shipped yesterday (Jan 29 at 10:30am) had arrived. I picked it up a little later. Shipped from Fort Lauderdale to Evansville, Indiana in only the zippered Chinese case.
Long trip. Just a shade over 24 hours. Around $80 for the ride. No damage. You have been updated.

Re: Update Update
I revived my Craftsman air compressor today thanks to $26 worth of parts I ordered. Can't figure out why it went down in the first place, I'd only had it for 30 years.

Another denies anything was marked "stink" so it shouldn't matter,
The rest want you to go out and make your own stink.

Where is gas $1.37? On the North side of Atlanta $1.69 is the best you can do.

I was thrilled to find $1.99 in some states between NY and MN this time last year... when I was driving an 8 mpg Uhaul truck halfway across the country.

It would be an even better bargain if gas were 100% gas and not 10% ethanol.
