A wee bit excited now, far more excited in about 4-6 months.
I've been homebrewing on and off for about 5 years or so. Last time I brewed was around this time last year. It all went well until I ended up never having time to bottle it, it spoiled, and I had to get rid of it -- very sad. Can't wait to get back to it, though. Also looking forward to when my son is old enough to help out and do all the parts I hate doing.
I am finally getting over a cold that I've had for about a month. I have never coughed so much, or had a cough this bad. Doctor never thought it was any worse than a common cold, but it really knocked me down for a long time.
Was unable to play tuba for about 3 full weeks, because I couldn't go more than a minute or two without an extended coughing fit. How embarrassing.
Back to about 85% now, and ready to play again... whenever I get the time to do it!
Thanks Joe. Thankfully, I just had the cough, and my energy level was otherwise normal. But no cough medicines OTC or RX seemed to work very well. Only relief I could get was from an Albuterol inhaler. I have new found empathy for asthmatics!
Sorry you had it so much worse than me. I feel lucky by comparison.
I'm not sure what's going around. I've had a cough for several weeks that turned into a sinus infection. Anti-biotics are helping. I have been able to play and keep put with things, but a nap is a requirement each afternoon. I'm going into the holiday season with several concerts with an orchestra, band and 2 quintets. I hope this thing ends soon so I'm at my peak performance.
Should it occur (I make no assumptions!) that all 4 of your daughters get married, you'll have to line up all 4 of these similar photographs. I wonder if you'll be smiling by the last one?
As to the suit, I ordered each piece of it from clothing establishments in London (POST Brexit = more for my $$) where morning dress is the equivalent to the tuxedo here in the U.S. (the Internet is truly a marvelous thing).
I figured that with 3 more daughters to go, it was a wise investment (provided they get married before 6 PM, and I can still fit into it.... )

By the time I got married I had several sets each of "work clothes" which fit just fine (tails, white tie, tux, black tie, white jacket, etc.) so of course they wanted morning suits...
Oh, and conrats to daughter & dad!
Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?
Well gosh. All I have to report is one of my sons got married today. And I don't know if I will ever be able to post pictures. (Techno-backwardness on my part.)
Other good news about my son's wedding is that my younger brother who nearly died earlier this year with perforated intestines and some sort of lymphoma, I think it was, drove over from Arkansas for the wedding by himself, and back again. We are thankful for his recovery. And for all the good wishes that were expressed here at the time.
I have pictures on my phone, but it doesn't play well with the computer. I did once, somewhere, sometime, post a picture from my phone to a bulletin board. I might could try it again.

Good news all around!
