Maybe. Exactly what color is this Fender medium soft tortoise shell guitar pick? Where was it last seen? When was it noticed to be missing? Where all has she looked already? I have a silver one I can send... or does she prefer lacquer? I've heard that the raw tortoise shell ones resonate better. Is that true?

My wife and I have been to that Christmas market in Berlin that got attacked today. Almost right to the day, 6 years ago, and likely in the exact place the attack happened. How absolutely terrible. My deepest sympathies and prayers are with the families and the people of Berlin, which is a truly wonderful city.

So I guess the soapbox telegraphy above is about refugees from the middle east. Whatever, I just wanted to discuss "viscous", a term that's usually used for relatively thick, sticky fluids. Viscosity is an important characteristic of lubricants for example. It isn't usually a characteristic of dogs, but ?

Unusually mild Christmas Eve here in the northeast, and just enough snow to make it white, without making it messy.....couldn't be better!

Having finished a week of practices every night and playing in 4 services yesterday, I finally got home at 11:30 pm last night. The euphonium player borrowed my double bell and now won't give it back. He offered me a fair price for it, but the best part was the smile on his face as he took charge of his new horn. Priceless!

Just by coincidence reading some old literature from down there, came across this passage on the matter:
Marcus Clarke wrote:A hot day. A very hot day on the plains. A very hot day up in the ranges, too. The Australian sun had got up suddenly with a savage swoop, as though he was angry at the still coolness of early morning, and was determined to drive the cattle, who were munching complacently in the long rich grass of the swamp, back up under the hill among the thick she-oaks. It seemed to be a settled thing on the part of the sun to get up hotter and hotter every morning. He even went down at night with a red face, as much as to say, "Take care, I shall be hotter than ever to-morrow!"
