To oompah was painful,
Guy, let's tighten up the meter a little:

A tubist who had to get braces
could only play lines, not spaces
To oompah was painful
Pedals were shameful

There once was a tubist in orange :P
Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

I almost posted that same comment, but I figured I'd get the point across to just repeat the line.

OK, we're getting off track. We've had some good limericks constructed. Let's get back on it or shut down the thread.

There once was a tubist in orange
Whose tuba was also quite orange
He looked quite queer
and acted quite wierd
as he sat there eating an orange.

OK, that's over and done with.

Now, next:

Forty days and long nights he played
