Does tuba playing improve one's kissing? Or vice versa?

Frayed knot.
Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

In a library perhaps?bloke wrote:any sort of easy-to-play-very-loud instrument in bloke's possession
Also wouldn't mind elaboration on jumbo sousas.
Weight? Intonation? Cost? Parts? Storage? All of the above?

Clearly asking unclearly for clarification is a bad idea.
I meant to ask what makes a loud instrument in bloke's hands a bad idea?
I presently assume i am far enough away i couldn't hear anything.
Or a Jumbo sousa generaly a bad idea?
It could have good side if it keeps us from making something bigger...

Sousa dunk tank...
I been hesitent to post this here, as i actually wanna implement it some day, like a helix trombone slide... Unlike the the helix trombone slide, this is well within my capabilities. I'm just slacking.
But what's the point of the thread if i hold back the ones i really care about?

I think trying to lift a fully submerged tuba out of a tank of water is going to be a bad idea.

Tuba snake charmer?
What beats snake oil for those quick licks, or for real bite on those low notes?
Must remember to drop a feeder mouse in the bell every so often...

Re: A thread for bad ideas...
You didn't see my high school band half-time program that involved lining up every player around the perimiter of the field half-way through the second quarter to intimidate the opposition, then as soon as the teams cleared, yes, we had a "run-on" to the field to our positions to start the show. So yes, I have run with a souzy!humBell wrote:Running w/ sousaphones. (credit bloke in tuba!tuba! and so on thread)

Any answer other than "no" to this question viewtopic.php?f=2&t=88367#p659525 involves a possibly different sort of restoration as well potential repair and maintainace efforts that are antiproductive to preservation, with no promise of even remotely satisfactory results. Do you want to know what sound you could get out of 'em? Or what they could do in their hay day in the hands of folk who played 'em all their life? Anyway, a whole nest of worms without touching a tool, let alone an instrument. And i don't even know what i'm talking about.
But wouldn't a tuba library be cool?
