When it came back up I saw that my post had disappeared. Now I see that YOU have posted very nearly the same information. So I am led to believe that you, Marty, hacked into the TubeNet system, stole my post, crashed the entire Forum and then posted my post in you name when the forum came back online, thereby stealing credit for my intense researching efforts Googling Mountain Dew Mouth. I am impressed. We shall meet again, but the battle will be fought on MY terms, Mr. Neilan! MWAH HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!!

Right now I'm enjoying one of these:

It's pretty good, I am pleasantly surprised with this stuff. It's not as complex a flavor as regular ole pepsi but still tastes similar. Real sugar, and kola nut extract= a fine cola. And it's in a glass bottle which makes me even happier.

I purchased this stuff at the local "Woodman's" grocery store along with pepsi throwback,Mt.Dew throwback, and Coke in the 500ml glass bottles. The pepsi throwback was pretty decent and as always Coke in a glass bottle never disappoints

I just tried one of these at a local Colombian place with a bunch of other non-USA drinks. Anyone else tried it?

I wish I actually looked like the gentleman on the front of the can but, unfortunately, that was not the case.

It is unfortunate when people become way too addicted too sugary beverages. I enjoy soda very much, but only drink one can about every 5 days or so. Not only does it destroy your teeth if you drink it all the time, but it lessens the pleasure you get from drinking it, much as if you went to Disneyworld every day for a year. My school is sponsored by Pepsi, and as a result, we have 5 or 6 vending machines around the campus. I see kids who go to drink a bottle a day, in addition to whatever they drink at home. No wonder one third of all Americans are obese. :?

It's supposedly Nestle's way of getting kids to drink milk in developing countries. However, here in the Philippines, they put the sweetened chocolate powder (like Nesquik, or Nestle's Quik, if you are of my generation or older) into a cup of plain water. It's like drinking brown tempera paint.

In the Philippines, since it's an English speaking country, they call it MY-lo. In Vietnam, they call it MEE-lo. I told my friends back in Saigon about the fact that they drink Milo without milk... just plain water... and they couldn't believe it!

The can you show is the premade stuff in milk and is very expensive here. Funny thing is you can get milk cheaper here than you can in America (and it's not that phony "filled" milk which is loaded with vegetable oil and soy grits and whatever else can stretch milk out...) I can get a gallon (although it's by the liter) for about $2.94. They only have whole milk (no skim or 2%).

When I lived in Puerto Rico (1980), there were two very popular sodas: Malta and Coco Rico.

Coco Rico was my absolute favorite. I would probably find it gross today. It was a very sweet coconut flavored pop.

My cousin loved Malta, but it was discusting to my taste.

Also very gross...Sunkist Orange Cream and Rootbeer Float in a can....yuck! I tried that garbage a year ago. I haven't tried the nastiest sounding stuff, Turkey and gravy flavored soda.

Sidebar.......up north they say soda or pop. In texas you might say, "I want a coke please." The waitress would say, "What kind?". Anwer, "Dr. Pepper". All soda is called "coke" in Texas.

My best soft drink would have to be the Coke I had in Austria. I asked why it tasted so much better than the stuff here in the US and I gathered it had something to do with real cane sugar and stuff like that.

My favorite here in the US would be Dr. Pepper (which sadly was not in Austria but good beer is!) and maybe A & W Cream Soda.

Worst would have to be Mountain Dew Code Red or Diet Coke. Diet Coke doesn't taste good at all! Coke Zero does though...lol

One of the things I hate about the Philippines is how the corporations take it upon themselves to watch out for the welfare of Filipinos by guarding their sugar intake. Most fruit drink powders are half sugar and half Nutrasweet. I'm one of the few people who can't take Nutrasweet. It makes me very sick.

If you buy Coke from a street vendor or sari-sari store, chances are it is half Nutrasweet, too. Nestea is always that way. It's why I only drink Lipton tea here.

If you want to get the Coke that is made of pure sugar, you have to buy it in a plastic bottle (1.5 or 2 liters) in a supermarket.

This is also true in Arkansas. We call all soda vending machines "Coke Machines" and our waitresses ask "What kind of Coke do ya want?" haha Most of our music teachers here at UCA aren't from the south and we give them a hard time when they say "pop". Our campus is a "Pepsi Campus" so that adds confusion when we tell our teachers that we're gonna go to the student center to get a Coke. Luckily they have Dr. Pepper or I would have to drive to the gas station to get some. Oh, and they sell "Mexican Coke" at one gas station here. It's made with natural ingredients and has real sugar and taste much better than the crap we get sold here in the US......maybe it's laced with that "other" Mexican "Coke"........lol

I earned my undergraduate degree from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. Yes, you're correct...they use coke as a generic word for soft drink. It took me a long time to rid my lexicon of the word "pop" from my Michigander roots.

By the way, in Michigan Verners is real gingerale (strong stuff) and Canada Dry is just sugar water.

I thought they called it Vernors in Michigan.
