From the Troopers website:

[quote]Troopers not fielding in 2006 (October 2, 2005)

Following lengthy review of the current status of the corps, the Troopers Board of Directors decided today that in the best interest of the corps, they will not field a competitive corps for the 2006 season.

“This is the right thing to do, “commented interim director Mike Ottoes following the board meeting. “It’s going to be most difficult on the members, but in the long run, this is the right thing to do.â€

What do you call 150 Lawyers killed in a plane crash?

A good start.

Take it for what it's worth.

Wow -- always liked seeing them when I was marching. Having them play on the corps at II/III Finals in Whitewater -- from the trees on the hillside, too -- was something I won't forget.

I can't remember the contra player's name, but I remember seeing him on the broadcast.

Chuck, that was just rude.

WHAT NO TROOPERS!!!!!! THEY ARE AMERICAS CORPS

Man i always had a good time in retreat next to the troopers. Always fun to listen to them go to attention and all their horns clinking against their buttons. and always in time and really really fast. on time before retreat we set our horns up in what we call book ends and they where amazed or seemed to be. and the next show that we saw them they had buildt their contras into some sort of tipee or something like that. it was awsome. GOD BLESS THE TROOPERS!!!!!!!!
