Could really care about the life style, but I like "At the Drive-In" which a little more old school Emo than than you mentioned. Sounds like Emo has gone "Goth". Trust me, as a high school teacher, most fads get recycled everytime someone comes out with some catchy new music with dreary lyrics.

Every generation has to have it's own style and quickly. This always shocks the elders and they condemn it quickly.
I theorize that this is healthy for our society because it keeps things stirred up.
