What's it from?

Post by Chuck(G) »

For some time, I've been trying to identify the fanfare that starts off the first few seconds of the BBC Radio 2 Friday night concerts. I'm at a loss--can anyone identify the fragment?

(No, not "Rhinestone Cowboy" :) -wait about 20 seconds until the program actually starts)

Thanks!

Chuck,

I have aired it before, but can't remember if it is from Bliss' soundtrack "Things to Come" or the opening credits of "633 Squadron" an old potboiler with some pretty good music. Of course, a Brit will be better versed than I.
