Did anybody see the funky serpent in Shrek 2 ?
It was in the band scene towards the end of the flick.

The best part in the movie was when the last notes of the harald-trumpet fanfare squealed like Maynard. Then they started wailing on some Hawaii 5-0.

Funny movie with a few laugh-yer-guts-out moments.

If you take your wife on a date to see Shrek 2, you could enjoy some special benefits. Hearing the Scottish accent put on by Shrek might just earn you enough points to get out of attending one of those Scottish folk concerts I heard about the last time I visited your shop. What was the name of that band, Blind Sheep Eye? or something?

Yep, there it is in the band at the end (either during 'hero' or 'livin la vida yoda'). What really yanked my chain though was that the guy was holding it like a saxophone! Sheesh, of all things.

Of course, considering that this movie spoofed literally everything that ever existed, I guess we should be grateful it wasn't something even worse.

And Joe, I don't care how grumpy you are, GO SEE THIS MOVIE. It's not quite as good as finding Nemo, but it's definitley one of the few quality movies to come out recently. You'll enjoy it.

You really are a grumpy old man! I've been married for 25 years and still took my wife on a date to see Shrek 2 (on the advice of our 21 yr old daughter). We go on "dates" regularly, especially since both our children are out of the house (one Cornell graduate and one Junior in college).

I was talking to one of my early music friends about this once. There are two methods of holding/playing a serpent. One is the way that we're more familiar with, where it's held to the side (kind of like a flute). The other way does in fact have the instrument held down, kind of like a saxophone.
