Hair

I just saw a signature on one of the posters here, "God gave perfect heads to only a few people. To the rest He gave hair," or something like that.

I have to agree with that statement because I am a few weeks from turning 49 and I have all my hair. When I was younger I had many accidents scarring my scalp.

When I joined the Army, I knew I was going to get my hair cut extremely short. I just wasn't expecting the reaction I received from the barber and the drill sergeant. The barber apologized, "I'm sorry I cut your hair so short." The drill sergeant reprimanded the barber, "You didn't have to cut his hair so short!" I kept quiet, knowing that my hair generally grows pretty fast. When I went for a trim, I always made sure I went to that barber. By the time I got out of basic training, my hair was both good for the Army and me. It was actually pretty thick on top.

I once grew my hair long, past the middle of my back. I don't know why I did that, but with my beard, some people thought that I was maybe trying to get the lead in a Passion Play.

But I do like to wear my hair short enough to be comfortable and long enough to hide the scars in my scalp.

Unfortunately, I am responsible for many of the scars in my ears...

I like that quote too. The one I like to use is, "I don't care if my hair turns gray - as long as it doesn't turn loose".

Don't think of it as "losing your hair"

Think of it as "growing more face" 8)

Don't think of it as "growing more face"

Think of it as making your eyebrows seem less bushy by comparison :D

It is just fine to lose one's hair.

Leviticus 13:40 “As for the man whose hair has fallen from his head, he is bald, but he is clean. 41 He whose hair has fallen from his forehead, he is bald on the forehead, but he is clean.

As a matter of fact, God wants a man's hair to be short. Most people have no idea, but even Jesus Christ and all the prophets of the Old Testament has short hair.

Revelation 1:14 His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and His eyes like a flame of fire

1st Corinthians 11:14 Does not even nature itself teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a dishonor to him?

Would Paul have written that statement if Jesus Christ or His Apostles, whom he knew, had long hair? The long haired paintings and images of Christ that we are all used to are an invention made up by the false church in order to feminize the Living God. Do not believe it!

I feel just fine with my short hair, and am fine with it falling out.

Have a nice day,

-MSM

I think that if the Lord worried about the length of a man´s hair, He could have created it the way he pleased. Since it will grow long if I let it, I figure it´s up to my decision (which is why I chose to wear a short haircut)

How ´bout Samson ?
I mean, he wasn´t a prophet, but his God - given strength came and went with his hair.
And then: What´s "long hair" and what´s "short hair" ??

Some day in the future, a scar or two reminding me of my student years will show. Fencing was an exciting sport, you know?

Of course we can all choose to have hair any way we want it.

I just like sharing the knowledge. Do what you will. It is of no concern to me.
