What's a fair price for a George Roberts (Olds, Fullerton) Bass Trombone in decent shape? A few rough spots in the laquer, but the slide is near perfect. I'll check ebay for completed auctions too, but I thought I'd ask here in case anybody has any insight or strong opinions about this particular model.
Thanks in advance!

I have one that is near mint save for some red rot(?) spots under the laquer on the bell. I paid $140 for it. It was supposed to be $150 but the guy walked off after I haded him 7 $20 and was reaching for the $10. He did not count it, so I let him go. I still see him ebery couple of years and he still asks for the cash. Maybe some year I'll give it to him.

B.t.w. I have played numerous orchestral jobs on the G.R. and a multitude of big band gigs. I tune the "F" attachment so extension "E flat" is at the bell and then I can fake the extension "B" well enough to get by. That means all "C"s and "B"s in the staff and extension "F"s and "E"s are 6th and 7th slide positions, but that's cool.
