I was about to get some, but instead sprung for a Sony home theater-in-a-box for about the same amount of money.
At the time, I was shopping in the PC speakers section at Best Buy. I thought the sound was reasonably good from an Altec Lansing set, Creative Labs i-Trigue 2.1, and a Logitech 3-piece system (the one with genuine faux woodgrain
). Best Buy also had a Klipsch set on display, but they just didn't quite do it for me.
I know, that's not much of a help, but maybe it's a start.
