Thats a fun story, but I doubt its true.


Can we even insure items that are meant to be consumed? Can we insure food? Wine? That $1000 bottle of brandy? Etc?

Perhaps a composer could insure their compositions against wrong notes...

I first heard this "joke" from my Business Law professor in college in 1960.

Thanks. If an insurance company actually insured them, they deserve what they get. Insurance folk might be assholes, but they're not stupid.

There has never been a property-loss insurance policy that would allow the insured person to claim a loss from a fire set by the insured person. They all have fine print excluding fraud, and that is indeed insurance fraud.
