This group is a small cult, led by a real nutcase. They used to picket military funerals with signs essentially saying that the solider deserved it because the US tolerates homosexuality. Imagine how the bereaved felt!
After what's going on in the world today, those who promote a state religion must be out of their minds.

Sounds like someone should toss a grenade in those pickets, and try the defense "Because Darwin told me to"

That is the most shameful display of "Quasi-Christianity" I have ever seen.
They are not Christians
They do not speak for Christians.
They are not representative of Christians.
Their abuse of the Bible is abhorrent. Their actions show them to be as vile is the sins they decry.

somebody should organize a group to picket on their property during services. (and maybe siphon gas too) A Christian group that promotes hate is not a Christian group at all.

The "Patriot Guard Riders" are one of the organizations trying to block Crazy Freddie's protests. Their official website is listed below. God bless them for what they are doing.

I've learned from this morning's local paper that this collection of remnants from the shallow end of the gene pool has decided to picket the funeral of a local Marine (recently killed in Iraq) this coming weekend here in Helena.
I think it would be fun (unrealized, I know) if our local Blackhawk crew acitivated to fight forest fires can conduct a training mission and unload a couple of water buckets on the bunch of wackos, from about 30 feet.
Dave (wondering which drugs these fools have come under the influence of) Thomas

Jeez, what a bunch of crapbags.
I'll start looking out for them; there have been quite a few service funerals in my part of the state, and I would definitely join a counter-rally if these jackasses came. Even so, if I was one of them, I would probably pee my pants having to stare down one of those bikers.

These wackos sound like the kind who grow up to be suicide bombers. I say give em a place to practice!

The Chicago area has especially witnessed a lot of these morons the last few years and the State of IL passed a law that they have to stay I think 100 yards away. Sure not far enough in my estimation. How unbelievably cruel to to the family and friends of the deceased. Deeply offensive to anyone with any shred of humanity.
I also personally wish the news media would leave the familys alone at these funerals/services. Without the media presence I bet these morons wouldn't show up to disrupt.

Good point. Sounds like they're only in it for the coverage.
Though, why do it at all? If God's already decided, what possible purpose can it have for them? Do they just like to flaunt it in front of everybody else?

Whatever, their leader's probably a closet homosexual that can't come to terms with who he is so he has to spread the hate to prove to himself how straight he is.

"The church's actions spurred a measure, signed into law by President Bush on Memorial Day, that prohibits protests at or near national cemeteries. Baucus voted for the Respect for America's Fallen Heroes Act, hence Westboro's presence at his nephew's funeral, according to Westboro attorney Shirley Phelps-Roper. About 26 states have enacted similar laws, she said."
I guess that if they need that much publicity, they must know that what they hold is wrong...
