About that metal roof: Does anyone know how long these things are supposed to last ... for real, not what the sales pitch says?

And, the swimming hole is bound to be a hit.

Beautiful location, attractive buildings, but I would be concerned about any clearcoat that mister sun can blister and peel off.
Staining the second story logs over that new roof will require some serious draping.
Log homes are a disaster here in the deep, muggy South unless made of cedar or cypress heart wood.
Good luck with sealing and caulking. I would like to know what paint system and caulk you decide on.
